Illustration, Design, Art from Home.

I'm from Hong Kong, a cosmopolitan city.
People mostly see the famous skyline as the face of Hong Kong.
However, for me the true beauty of this place is not built up by those modern buildings.

Here are some art pieces made by local artists in three category.
 Illustration, Design and Art.
Maybe you can learn more about this city through the following artists.

Stella So, Illustrator.
She is well known for illustrate the local culture from Hong Kong. Her works are extremely delicate and full of details. Her works were support by a large amount of research, which made her works not only visually appealing but also educational. Her drawing style is whimsical and realistic at the same time.

Kan Tai Keung, Graphic designer.
His works show a great balance of traditional element and modern aesthetic. He is well known for using Chinese ink strokes and cooperates with photograph. To achieve a clean and sleek look, his colour palette is really minimal which created an effortlessly sophisticated style.

"Kowloon King" Tsang Tsou-choi, Artist.
He is a local Graffiti artist who had a significant place in Hong Kong street-art culture. He was well known by his unique handwriting, they were bold, rustic and dynamic. He doesn't have any formal traditional calligraphy background but that's the reason why his free and rough brush strokes were so fascinating. His calligraphy was so iconic that had been copy by others after he past away.
